| Originally working in earthenwares the Brownfields Pottery was opened in 1838 and continued in production right through to the new century. When William Brownfields first son became a partner in 1871 the companies product range changed and porcelains were used. "Asiatic Pheasants" wares also date from this time until 1900 when the two Ltd companies associated with the Guild Pottery Society collapsed |
