Long established Scottish pottery working in Earthenwares which ran under a number of managements through most of the C19th. Did not start marking their wares until approx 1850 and sometimes added Ltd to their marks between 1857 and 1863. As a provincial maker of "Asiatic Pheasants" supplying principally the local market for these wares their production of this pattern is unlikely to have started before 1863, but may have been producing up until their closure in 1903.
