| Another of the Staffordshire family business' which survived virtually the whole of the C19th.
Founded by John Meir at the Greengates Pottery in 1812 took his son into partnership in 1837. Worked in
good quality earthenwares and ironstone produced many transferware patterns including "Willow" and "Asiatic Pheasants". "Asiatic Pheasants" production probably did not start until 1860 - 1870. |
